Help me welcome our new Community Moderator!
Hi everyone,
As you may have heard, exciting things are on the way. We are rolling out user-friendly message board software in the next several weeks and recently hired a full-time message board moderator. -- You will be thrilled to know that today is her first day working with us.
Our new community moderator, CM Sally has over 5 years of experience moderating on iVillage.com. She is also an avid animal-lover, who is sensitive to the issues concerning them. I know you will all do your best to make her feel welcome.
Further, we are in the process if implementing new message board rules, and setting up a Pet Talk Leader program. This will comprise of qualified volunteers from our message board community who will help initiate message board conversations, report inappropriate posts and ensure that our community becomes a warm, supportive place for pet-lovers to exchange information and talk with others who share their passion for pets.
We will be accepting applications for volunteer Pet Talk Leaders in the near future. Keep an eye out for the announcement!
Sincerely,
Jen

Hi everyone,
I am very excited about my new position as Community Moderator and am looking forward to becoming involved in the boards and getting to know everyone.
In the past, the boards may have felt a bit like the wild west lately without full-time moderation, however I want to assure each of you that I am committed to bringing about change, so that the boards can become what they were meant to be – a place to connect, exchange information, share stories and get support.
As Jen mentioned, I adore animals and will be right at home here. No doubt I will share many stories of my own pets as well.
Lastly, if you ever have any questions or see a post that troubles you, don’t hesitate to contact me. That’s what I am here for!
Again, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and the animals you care for.
Best,
Sally
