| Fozzy is Faylene's bonded buddy. He too is 6 years old and recently rehomed with me. The poor guy was quite obese and is now starting to trim down. He is a gorgeous champagne color with golden highlights and is an absolute cuddlebug! Of course I think some of that willingness to cuddle stems from the fact that movement for him has been a chore for some time. He came form a family of 5 ferrets and apparently he was bottom of the totem pole. I think he hugged the food dish for comfort. But he is slowly coming around to accepting a better diet of raw foods and whole prey. Already he is moving around much more and enjoying free roam 24/7! He even hops sideways a couple times! His version of a war dance at the moment!
Cheers! Kim

- Hey JM,
- Nice Shot!!! (another pic title for this: "Busted!!!")
- It's funny, I was just thinking 'bout you being one
- of the few (if not only) regulars here that was a
- "single ferret" Ferrent. (and NOW you're NOT!!!)
-
- Brutus too, was overweight when we rescued him.
- He hasn't LOST weight, but his fat ratio has gone
- down quite a bit, so he is alot more mobile. He even
- gets airborn sometimes[:O]. Still has a "waddle" to
- his walk, and a belly, but he's much better than he
- was. Great Job taking in 2 Rescues, JM!!!
Later, Matt and Kristi (Izzy & Brutus) -

| HI all, Yeah, Ferret math struck me tween the eyeballs! Most times I'm pretty happy with my decision, but I'd be lieing if I said I didn't sometimes have reservations. SOme of my fears about Josie interacting with other ferrets has been realized. She cannot hear them complain and she is jealous of them playing with her things and sleeping in her cozies. But its only been aweek and already they are telling her exactly how much guff they'll take from her. FOr the most part though I am happy with my decision, the F&F team are great little ferrets and are adding joy to my life which is NEVER a bad thing! Cheers! Kim

| Your new babies are adorable. I love the one of Fozzy...reminds of a boys night out, alittle too much to drink and just falling on the floor, one eye open, the other closed. LOL! Its a great shot! Check out the new pics of my Brute in the behavior section...they go along with my whole litter training experience which is why I posted them there. Gosh, if it were up to me i'd have a ferret farm...LOL, not to mention all my other babies! As for their interaction together, how long did you have Josie before getting Faylene and Fozzy? Bella was my Valentine's Day gift from hubby and the kids. We needed dog food which is why we were in the pet store that day. We, actually I would always walk by the ferret tank and check em out. It so happened a girl that worked at the store was handling them so I took full opportunity to check em out. My Bella came right over to me and started giving me kissies and climbed up my arm. It was so awesome. that was love at first sight, lol. Hubby saw me and asked about ferret care and whatnot and told me I could have her as a V-Day gift. I melted. She was so tiny that she would tend to suckle on my finger or a blanket and would actually cry in her own way when I would have her in her cage. She wanted to be with all the time and would just cuddle on my chest. She was the one and only ya know. Then my best friend came that weekend and met her and too fell in love. After about a month of coming to hang out and seeing she decided to impulse buy and bought Brute. I was so afraid of putting them in the same cage for the weekend until she left and Bella wanted no part of him to start. I did know for fact though that they were from the same litter which was good. By the end of the weekend we found they were sleeping in the same cozy tent. I don't think either were gonna raise the white flag...lol. My friend called her mom and was telling her that she bought him and her mom didn't believe her and told her if it was true not to bring him home. Since then, they've been unseparable. Things will get better, just make sure you remind Josie how much you still love her.
