Timothy hay, vegetables, and pellets. They should be given lots of timothy hay all day long, vegetables once in the morning and once in the evening and not a lot of pellets.

RE: Pellets

sabs789 (6/13/2009)
My piggie, Shakira, is not eating her Zupreem pellets but eats Ecotrition pellets. I cant give her Ecotrition because she is little overweight and it is not healthy. So I am giving her Zupreem pellets and she doesn't even touch them. What can I do?

I'm not an expert, but are pellets the only thing that your piggie is eating right now? Are you able to feed it vegetables? Like when I gave Bun Bun a cherry and she stopped eating greens for a while. Then she made me chase her around the neighborhood for ten minutes when she got out of her harness and only came to me when I gave her a cherry.

RE: Pellets

I agree with animal girl's advice. Animals get used to the way certain foods taste, and sometimes they favor the food that they're used to eating. Please provide us with updates on your guinea pig's condition.

RE: Pellets

If she won't eat the other brand of pellets then let her eat the Ecotrition pellets, just give her less of them.

Pellets

My piggie, Shakira, is not eating her Zupreem pellets but eats Ecotrition pellets.
