Here are some suggestions:

You could have extra badges on the profiles for stuff like:

a. A special thanks to the members that are "outstanding" on SAC.

b. Every year you could have an easter egg hunt with eggs hidden all over the site and post the amount of eggs on their page as a badge.

c. Critter of the week

And you could maybe put a list of the top 100 critters with votes?

I,m 16. I am a very responsible pet owner, and am thinking about adopting a guinea pig. I would only get one, is that ok? I'm homeschooled so I am in my room alot. I just go to church and orchestra practice. I would also be using my entire pay from my job this summer, about $ 1,000. As far as medical expense should I get insurance ?

The editors of Critters USA magazine are putting together an article about owners' favorite memories of their small animal pet. This includes pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, hedgehogs, rats, mice, sugar gliders, gerbils, skunks, flying squirrels and more!

If you currently own one of these pets, or have in the past, please send a short story (150 to 300 words) about your favorite memory involving your pet. This could be something funny your pet did, a strange habit it had, a misunderstanding that occurred because of your pet -- anything involving your pet that makes you smile or warms your heart.

Please e-mail your story to critters@bowtieinc.com and mark the subject line "Favorite Memory." The deadline to send your story is April 26, 2010. If your story is chosen for use in the magazine, you'll receive a free copy of the magazine when it comes out in July 2010. Some stories might appear on the SmallAnimalChannel.com website.

Small Animal Bites

I've been bitten by a hamster, a guinea pig, and a rabbit. The hamster bite really hurt. The guinea pig hurt more than the rabbit did, but neither of those bites hurt very much. Which small animal bite hurts more? Does the hedgehog, ferret, sugar glider, chinchilla, rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, rat, mouse bite, etc., hurt most? I'm just curious about other people's opinions.

How long did it take you to find Felicia the Lost Camper? Did you like how your critter ghost story turned out? Did you really like someone else's story? Did you make a video for the talent contest? Anything interesting happen during filming? Have you been spending more time with your pet? Any guesses on what the whittling item will become?

Picture yourself sitting on a bench by a campfire on a cool night beside the lazy BowTie River. The logs in the fire crackle from the heat and the sporadic glow of fireflies can be seen in the meadow at the edge of camp. Other campers are roasting marshmallows and shadows dance across their faces in the firelight. A story about camp comes to mind and you say ....

Did you guys know the effects of Kay-tees Lavender product?? Listen to this, this product has been known to cause lethargia (because of the calming aroma) which then leads to weight gain and obesity, it also causes health problems like eye infections, & skin irritations. Can you believe a company that’s propose is to help us have healthy pets is making a product that hurts them? This makes me so angry!!

i have a problem. i cant seem to view the videos or quizzes. i'll click on a video, and the page will pop up, but the video wont start or allow me to click on any of the buttons. i can start a quiz, and answer the first question, but after that it wont let me do anything, the quiz page is blank. i dont understand. is anyone else having this issue? is it my computer or account? please help i am a new member im so confused.

why wont it let me enter the CHristmas Carols contest

why does this keep coming up when I hit the submit button to try to enter the Christmas Carols contes? I have tried 4 or 5 times today and it keeps coming up with this, goes to a page that says..."Are you lost?" And then has a full page list of things on there. I want to enter so badly but how can I when it keeps coming up like this. I even sent an email to SAC about it but did you know even THAT kicked back in my e-mail and said addy was not even on file or any thing?

help finding homes for baby bunnies

does anyone have any suggestions on how to find homes for my baby bunnies? i have to find homes for them or will have to find a new home for myself. i have my momma and the daddy and of course did not know one was a female and now have 9 rabbits and only 2 cages....so the babies are actually in a plywood box with an open lid and they have ruined my carpet and i am being told i have to replace carpet-of course and get rid of all the babies.

PLEASE HELP-NEED ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS AND HOMES IF POSSIBLE!

[size=4]We use the black pellets, ferret litter from Marshall's. That is the only kind I've tried. I have three ferrets and they make a big mess and I need something that they can't though all over. Does anybody know if unscented cat litter or sand would work.

And also, What good for controlling odor of the feces and urine in the litter box?
We clean they're litter box every other day as needed.
