My three male Syrians never bit. I am very respectfull and always make sure I never push my critters if they are stressed but I have found that ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils and mice all have much more even temprements and are not as easily provoked and even if they do they mostly give a nip and don't put there heart and soul into it like a hamster does. My hamster has bitten to the bone on my finger and drew tons of blood, it was hot and swollen and would open up time and time again before it healed. Bun Bun has very long sharp teeth but it doesn't hurt that much. It hurts a LOT more when Bun Bun got scared and crawled up my neck, scratched it and there was a bleeding cut on my throat. The hamster bite really hurt. The guinea pig hurt more than the rabbit did, but neither of those bites hurt very much. Which small animal bite hurts more?
