A rabbit at last!

Yesterday my mum surprised me with a trip to a local holland lop eared rabbit breeder, I had know idea where we were going.

My beautiful baby rabbits name is Hatter and I am not sure if she is a male or female.

Any advice for first time rabbit owner is wecome.

Hello. I just thought I'd update with some pics of my newest pets.

This is Ophisaurus. He is a seven month old Short Tailed Opossum.

And this is Cheese. He is a Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami. I don't know how old he is, because my best friend gave him to me last month.

My once-hairless mouse is doing quite well (though his fur is thinning some), my turtle just came out of burmation a few weeks ago, and my birdies are adjusting well with me being away at college.

Hi, so I wanted to greet the Small animal community and say it's nice to meet you all. I love guinea pigs! I use to have 4, now I own 2. One is a silkie, his name is Kiozo. My other one is a black teddy bear guinea pig named Sirius Black (go figure). I also have a dwarf hamster(I use to have 4), he's 4 years old, going on 4 1/2 this May. My last rodent I have is a tan gerbil...I named him Zippy. He's shy, but that's because my dad tries to pick him up. Hope to learn more about the rest of you~ Cheers!

Hi! I'm Leah from UltraSoft Pets! I'm from Southeast Missouri in the USA! I have Miniature Rex and Fuzzy lop and Holland Lop rabbits that I raise and a few rescue rabbits as I take in peoples easter rabbits they no longer want and keep them untill they are rehabbed and found new interviewed family homes, And I also take in and rescue Cavies (Guinea Pigs) Currently I have 19 Bunnies and 22 Cavies.

Heres a few of my sweet babies!

This is Rimrod

Here's Mari shes one of my favorite little girls! Her and Sheri and Dandee are very close as they came together with Rimrod and Pastel and Dandee and Spook and Ruffian. I'm unsure but Rimrod may be a son or brother to Mari.

Here's Sheri she's one of the most unique piggies i've ever seen!

Heres Dandee, Shes my lazy lady she likes to spend alot of time laying around. I've only had this herd for two weeks now, I am %98 sure that they are all pregnant so they are spending quiet a bit of time stretched out chilling.

Here's Pastel she's a odd colored little piggy and soo funny! Her attempts to grab food as I put it in the bowl before it hits the bowl is just soo funny!

This little personable boy is Spooki! He's my second Silkie i've ever seen/had and the temperment on the Silkies i've seen and had are soo laid back and total lap pigs! He just does anything to get anyones attention! It's hard to take his picture cause he just wants to get up in the camera!

Here's Ruffian Shes a little wild but shes coming around now with a bit of apples which seems to be her favorite treat she can't ignore!

Here is Bella who is one of my most favorite little piggies she arrived a month ago and was also pregnant and is now VERY plump with pups. You can't ignore this girl PERIOD! She will let out a high pitch squeal till you pet her and give her a morning fruit and veggie and she LOVES to spend time out doors in the piggy corral stretched on her pregger belly in the grass! They had surrendered Bellas older pups about two months ago and most have found perfect homes now except one girl that looks just like Bellaroo, I'm fairly sure they found out that Bella had been bred again and decided to give Bella up too.

LOL Since I have soo many pictures i'll save them for another post! Anyway thats some of my herd! I've not even gotten to the buns yet!

Hi. Billy and I are new to each other. He's never had a human before and I've never had a little piggy. We are learning each other pretty well. I am learning alot of his words and he seems to know his name already. I'm impressed. Such a tiny little dude and he's so smart! He is also becoming very successful at training me ..along with the rest of the family
My husband and I have 3 children, 6 cats, and 3 dogs. All are very curious about him, but he's learned that when he's with us, he is in safe hands.
I hope to learn some things from this site and I think it's just too adorable that Billy has his own blog! I suppose some would say, 'what has this world come to when a pet has its own blog?' I say, 'it's about time!' 8-)

Buffy and Ginger

Tulip is my Grand Old Lady at 5+ years old. I got her from a local rescue 4+ years ago. Buffy is Ginger's mother. Buffy is 2+ years old, and Ginger just turned 2 on Feb. 2. They came from the same rescue as Tulip. I love my girls so much!

Hope you guys can help me. We have two female hamsters named Larry and Jerry. Larry is outgoing and friendly and Jerry is very nervous and is a regular wheel user. I notice 4 months ago that Jerry had a bald patch and sore on her right shoulder and I got her a new wheel. I though it might be rubbing on it. The new wheel is very nice and has a larger center that is more gently curved. (not digging like the old one) Well, today I noticed she has that wound opened again. Any advice?

Moose is an 11-month old male mini lop. He is so much fun and full of energy all the time. He likes to snoop in and under everything, and sprint around the living room until he's out of breath. When that happens, he plops onto his side, stretches out his legs, and relaxes. At night, he will jump up onto the couch and cuddle with me while licking every inch of my hand... yum! He's a great rabbit and pet and I am so happy with him!

Hello new friends!

We are Lill and Jill. We were adopted about 4 wks ago. The former owners said we were boys and were show bunnies that had one multiple ribbons and gave our parents 'papers' for us. Well, we are girls not boys. Lill has malclusion which obviously keeps her from being a 'show rabbit'. Jill has imperfection in coloring so she also isn't 'show quality'. We were very underweight in addition to Lill's teeth problem. Tomorrow we have our second Vet visit and hope to have some hopeful news. Our parents found us on Craigslist. We have a local rabbit shelter that mom has been in close touch with trying to keep us healthy and happy. Every day we make small progress toward being completely cage free. We are also getting a little spoiled by the awesome food we have all the time.

Our parents are Stacy and Kevin. They both attend college (even though they are OLD LOL) as non-traditional students.

My ferrets are named Snow White and Dora. Snow White is a large ferret that is albino with ruby eyes. Dora is a small ferret with a "normal" coat. Snow White is a year old and was rescued from a house that didn't want her anymore. She came with a large 3 story cage, but hte past owner was using the wrong kinda of bedding that if Snow had eat a small chip then she could have gotten very sick. I took her i and she has done well around my kids and around my other pets. Dora was rescued 1 month later from a College student who did not have the time for her. Dora came with a small cage, lint bedding, and ferret peanut butter treats. But she didn't not have a proper hamack nor enough room to play for how energetic she is. Dora has no know history, she was found in someone's back yard. But she has a tatoo in her right ear which suggests she came from the marshall farms. We dont know how old she is but she is very small and energetic. I opened this topic to see if anyone else has rescued a ferret, or need to find a home for a ferret because you dont have time for them anymore or just cant have one.

Hi! I'm a hamster lover from Hong Kong.
I have 3 hamsters their names are Baby, Greyson and Gummy Bear.
Baby is a roborovski hamster who's timid and shy, she likes hiding and she doesn't like being taken out from the cage.
Greyson and Gummy Bear are dwarf hamsters who are grey and yellow/gold in color respectively.

I don't have any small furry pets but I do have a German Shepard, a great dane/mastif and then a Jack Russell Terrier. Also, my Cat whom is pregnant is a Rag doll. Then, I have two lizards, Miles who is a Leo and a Uro named Zaebos (dragon name).

I had my one pig Leah for a few weeks and then I got another one Alauna to give her a friend. For some time now Leah (she's a couple months older than Alauna) is constantly sneezing(could it be the bedding?) and I have no idea why and I did notice today she has mites and I don't know what to do! also i've noticed that her eyes are starting to get watery and im not sure if that is normal. My problem with Alauna is she doesn't eat normally either and im not sure what to do with her. She is really weak and tiny (she's a baby ide say around a month perhaps). Im really scared for them both and ive never had a problem with animals before. I always brought in different pets. I know some people will tell me to take them to the vet but I don't have enough to do that at the moment. So is there anything i could pick up at the store to help them. Can someone please help me.

I just joined; and I wrote a few articles for Critters magazine.

My pets are 4 rabbits (Gwiyeoun, Klein, Arna, Eyota), 3 prairie dogs (Nikki, Booboo, Lakota), a ferret (Frisky Lucius), and a flying squirrel (Chepi). I'll be getting another ferret in a couple weeks. The new ferret I'll be getting is the son of my current ferret (long story).

Hi, I'm Austen and I'm looking to get a ratio of 1.2.0 Holland Lops. I have heard relatively good things about these rabbits. I've never kept any small animals before. These will be for a school project in an agricultural class where my goal is to breed them and showcase the bunnies for the project. I am on reptilechannel as I own 3 bearded dragons and a corn snake, where I am about to be an advanced member at around 1,990 posts.

She is a white and orange long haired english very sweet little girl. I named her Tallulah because I wanted an old fashion name that suited her and the name seems to match her perfectly. she is nine weeks old and healthy.

Hi everyone! We're new to the small animal forums. I got my bunny from a home that took poor care of her. Long story short, she was only supposed to be with me until I found her a new home (since I have 5 other pets as well). She found her way into my heart quickly so ive decided to keep her. A turtle & screaming bird share the room as well but the bird is going through a lot of training right now so hopefully he'll calm down

Anyway! Here is my new 3 month old bunny, Mimzy!

She's so friendly, loves to bony & be pet 24/7 hehe. Not afraid of our 3 dogs who just want to play(they aren't allowed alone with her of course)

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself.
"The Average Rabbit".
I have my own few personal pets,including rabbits and rats, as well as other "non-small animal" pets.
I take in rescues and place them in safe new homes. It does end up consuming a great amount of my time, haha.
I currently do a lot of work with rabbits, as that's what the need is in my area currently, but my main field of expertise is rats, followed by mice, and hamsters. Although if you ever want to ask me a question, I can cover just about anything besides guinea pigs.

Hey everyone!
I'm new to the forum and I would like to introduce you to my three dorky, adorable bunny rabbits!!

My first rabbit that we got is Nibbles.
She is a female spade Netherland Dwarf and is over one year old.
We adopted her from the Larimer Humane Society.
When we were playing with her, she started nibbling my fiancee's shirt and thats how she get her name haha

The second rabbit that we got is Baby.
He is a male Netherland Dwarf Rabbit and is about a year old.
We wanted another bunny to keep Nibbles company so we went to the pet store and got him.
He was somehow different because he wasnt afraid of us so we automatically got him and now they're inseparable!
They're both together in our bunny hutch; too bad shes spade. haha

The last rabbit that we got is Hazel.
She is a female Mini-Lop Rabbit that is 5 months old.
Shes very smart and already knows a few tricks such as up, walk and twist.
She stays inside with us in our room because to us shes still a baby.
