It is a must-have to have 2 gerbils because if yu don't, they can get depressed and not live as long. Gebils enjoy eating apple slices and carrots. I am first of all not sure how badly they need the company of other gerbils, and I also wonder if it's a bad idea to buy them at a pet shop.
