Both of them are a little shy, but one will let you pet her pretty much any time you'd like. Neither of them are aggressive and have never bit my wife or myself. They are also the softest things you'll ever touch in your life, and it's a sheer joy in and of itself just to pet them.

RE: Rabbit breeds

I heard that holland lops are verry nice rabbits.

RE: Rabbit breeds

I raise Netherland dwarfs and Dutch. Some of my Netherlands are very adventerus and fiesty but not all of them are "energetic", they can be calm. It depends on how much they are held when they are babies, like all rabbit breeds if you hold them alot when they are little they tend to be more friendly. Dutch are a nice small breed, they tend to be calm and sweet and only weigh around 4 pounds. I call Aravis(my Dutch)my little princess.

RE: Rabbit breeds

Mini rex rabbits aren't common where I live either. And because one rabbit is sweet doesn't mean all of them will be. Most any small rabbit breed is good. Lionheads are considered a mini breed and my little Bun Bun is so cute and fluffy. When I tell Bun Bun "come" she runs to me right away waiting for a carrot. It's funny.

RE: Rabbit breeds

My sisters Havana is very sweet once you get her out.

RE: Rabbit breeds

Are there any other breeds that are calm? Besides the Mini Rex? There aren't a lot of Mini Rexes in my area. More suggestions?

RE: Rabbit breeds

"High strung" can sometimes mean aggressive. It depends on the rabbit though. Not every "high strung" rabbit will be mean. Mini rex rabbits are partially hypoallergenic, stay small sized and are gentle. That's what I think is the best.

RE: Rabbit breeds

I really don't mind an energetic bunny.
