The lobby against legalization mainly does scientific experiments on ferrets. There immune system closely resembles our own. You can catch a cold from your little pal and give one to him. If they are legalized then more standards will be put in place as to how you have to treat them. It's simply sick and wrong. Cats are more harmful to California's ecology.
