NO THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ANOTHER HAMMY IN THE CAG CAUSE THEY COULD FIGHT AND THEN YOU WOULD HAVE ONE INJURED HAMSTER AND ONE DEAD

She says she has a syrian, so i reccomend the large wire cage w/pull out bottom from cage connection gallery the pull out bottom makes cleaning soooooooo much easier. I have a panda syrian and it is great, she is a female. What is your ham's name?

I would suggest either a big 20 gallon tank or a huge wire cage. The reason why I am suggesting such a big cage is that dwarf hamsters should always have a brother or sister to cuddle with and groom and eat with and sleep with.

Well, I have a male syrian. He is not very big yet, but then again, he's not old. His old cage was a small wire cage with a plastic solid bottom. The door was very sturdy, but it was so small there wasn't enough room for a 7" wheel! There was a second level connected to it, but he always slipped off the ladder when he went down. It was more of a slide than steps. But it's ok! We got him a much bigger cage, and a bigger wheel, too. He has a little two-story nestbox. It's Hammy Heaven! (almost! )

I would be happy to help, but I need to know some info first. What type of hamster do you have (syrian or dwarf)? and what type of cage is s/he in now? If you do not know the name of the cage, could you post a picture?

Bigger cage?

I adopted my hamster from an animal shelter. He came with a cage, apparantly the one that he has always lived in. I was thinking of getting him a new, bigger cage. I might not have room and I don't know the best kind. What do you suggest?
