I know there have been people who have asked about guinea pigs having a stroke. You may find that someone else with a similar problem in their guinea pig asked Dr. Rosenthal, and you can see what Dr. Rosenthal's advice was.

http://www.smallanimalchannel.com/critter-experts/vet/topiclist.aspx

RE: help!

It could be that he/she is not eatting, because they are not feeling good,or there not drinking.

RE: help!

You can also check out http://www.guinealynx.info/ which is the biggest medical website for guinea pigs.

RE: help!

You may want to take a look around to see if anything new is in the environment. Here are some articles that you might find helpful. Today I walked in and she went nuts..running back and forth hitting her face and body...even busting her lip (till bleeding) ...her nose is now swollen...I left her alone for 2 hrs to calm down but everytime i approach her cage she does the same thing. She did not eat the newly given hay or food...not even an apple slice...which she cant resist. I held her and shes nervous and goes right back into the freaking out once i put her back. What do I do? any ideas?
