I have just started doing tricks with my one guinea pig but I have to cancel because I am busy but it can be tough or easy depending on how you feel about it. Just get a treat and whatever trick you want him to do, easily guide him with the treat. In my case I am doing circle. So, I nicely repeat circle and let him follow the treat in a circle and then I give him at the end and talk to him sweetly. Do 2 fifteen minute sessions everyday and eventually he or she will catch on. Hoped I help! : )

P.S Some guinea pigs are not willing to something for just any treat, so give it a treat the the piggie really enjoys. My guinea pig only did it with cucumbers.

people think guinea pigs aren't smart but this is unfair and untrue,guinea pigs can learn to do tricks

Guinea pigs CAN do tricks, but its not really there special.

You may not know this but,guinea pigs can do tricks mostly handshakes and circles go on youtube and search handshakes and circles or how to do a circle starring minipan your so smart thank you for wanting you piggie to not be lazy

Currently, I'm trying to clicker train my big girl, Cocoa (not my little one Mocha because she's not food motivated). I already trained her to stand on her hind legs for a treat, and both of my girls are litter boxed trained, so yes, guinea pigs can be taught tricks.

This girl taught her cavies how to weave through poles (my ultimate goal with Cocoa):

I taught mine how to stand up on her back legs. I just found a treat she really liked and every time I gave her one, I held it above her head and close to her nose until she started to raise up on her back legs. The first few times, as soon as her front feet came up, even if only for a moment, I gave her the treat. As she got better at it, she has been able to stand almost her full length for a few moments. She'll only do it if you have a treat though.

i dont think tricks are a Guinea pig's forte, but you could try name response and litter training, also try bonding with your critter you will find that they are very nice animals to relax with.
