He is eating normally, doesn't seem to be dehyrdrated. I do know at one stage he lost weight due to some very strange reason that someone removed his food bowl from his cage and I never discovered what happened to it (Yes, he got another one immediately it was discovered which was a couple of days after i'd cleaned out his cage;this is usually done every 2 days) . He is quite a good weight now and seems to be happy but the raw skin is really botheirng me as it looks sore and I dont' know what to put on it.

I have no idea of his age as i took him on after my son didn't want him anymore and I change his cage around each time i clean it out to avoid boredom for him. I added a cardboard roll and a tissue and he has a little mousey house as well. He didn't like the mousey wheel at all.

Please any ideas of what I can do to rid my little fella of the raw looking skin on the side of his nose. I do handle him and I have a special box toput him in when I clean him out and he has not been with another mousey for along time so don't think it's any infection from anthoer source??

spiny mice

Has anybody had spiny mice before? There were 2 really cute mice in there. One was white with black spots, and the other was black with white patches. Well, the one that looked like an oreo cookie started chewing its tail, tried to walk and fell... so maybe that one wasn't the healthiest. The black one was sleeping, but he looked healthier than the other one. I named him Patches because of the color. I'm going to the pet shop to buy him in a few hours when my parents get home. What's really weird is that I already had almost all the supplies for a mouse without knowing it. A hiding place, bedding, timothy hay, some plastic and rubber baby toys from when my sister was a baby, an old 10-gallon tank. (my snake used to live in it until she escaped... ) And the only reason my parents are letting me get the mouse is because I said that I could do a science project about how a mouse would run through a maze faster if there was a strawberry at the end.

Fave. My vet wants my mouse to eat pelleted food but she doesn't like it and won't eat it. She much prefers sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, all the "goodies" instead. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Question:

We feed our rat and hamster tofu and they love it...Are mice aloud it?

Favorite Game

What's your mouse's favorite game to play?

Multiple types of pets

Have you owned several types of small animal pets?
