| Those are great questions MonkeyPoohBear. And thank you for the input on the poll. When the website switches what will happen to all the old forum archives? All of the forum archives will still be accessible through the Ferrets forum. What about our usernames? Your usernames and passwords will all remain the same. One of the things that you might have to do is reload the pictures that you have in your signatures. Will the format of this forum be the same, just at a new location? The format will be the same but the content will be a little different. Ferrets will have its own forum still, but there will also be forums for Rabbits, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs and all of the other small animals. Why is the forum moving?
The technicality is that the forum isn't moving, its just getting a make over and a new name. The BowTie Inc. Animal Network websites are all being relaunched to include more information and opportunities for our visitors to interact and have access to articles online. A good example of some of the recently relaunched websites are www.birdchannel.com and www.horsechannel.com. Please feel free to visit these to get an idea of what the new website will look like and what sort of topics and information will be included. www.ferretsmagazine.com will redirect to www.smallanimalchannel.com. Please feel free to visit SmallAnimalChannel.com to see what animals will be joining ferrets online and what our new colors will be. We have so many different animals that fall under the small animal/critters category that we combined them under one website. You will be able to access more in depth and detailed articles on ferrets behavior, handling, health and many other topics. It isn't happening just yet, but the editors wanted to let you know ahead of time so that we can answer your questions and let you know what to expect when the website and forum switch over to the new name. I hope that this answers your questions. Please feel free to come ask any more that you may have. You can also send me a PM and I will answer your questions there. - Critters Moderator
