So.. I was reading all the little things I missed the first time I read through the newest ferrets mag and I found the answers a I was looking for. remember when I asked if anyone knew about yogies and petco?

I cant belive they just took them off the shelves (and a few other treats too) because theyre not meat based. Now im stuck going to petland and paying $6.99 a can for them!! Apparently petco will only sell ferret treats that are completely meat based, no fruity or sweet treats for ferrets at any store in the chain. So that means yogies and fruit-n-crunch treats are gone.

Thats interesting. They still sell them at our local Petco stores. Sometimes I have to hunt for them in the bunny/hamster section but they are there. Not much for flavor options though. My bunch likes the bannana and the peanut butter ones.

I must say, we carry yogies at the petshop where I work. We had some extra yogies in the back of the store for the ferrets in our store. I was really curious so I read the ingredients on the bannana-raisen yogies (hmmm, I thought..no meat)...aww what the heck, I thought. I popped one into my mouth! [] Yes that's right, I ate a yogie! They were darn good I must say![] Too good for a ferret IMO so I ate the rest of the yogies![:O] I know, I'm crazy!

Im not actually working at Petco, but a small family run petshop "Pet Market Place" (isn't that a crazy name?). I LOVE my job, its SO much fun, but the pay sucks, $6.50 per hour. [] Atleast I truely enjoy going to work each day, ya know? At this point that is more important to me then getting a little bit more money per hour at a job that I despise.

Oh and yes- Keep all non-meat based ferret treats away from me. I'm outta control![:O]

Dont feel bad G... the boyfriend has a strange liking to dog biscuits. He decided he was going to try the yogies too and lo and behold they were deemed "good." Ive had a couple myself. [:O]They have a texture to that of sugar frosting from a cake.

Am I an evil person for buying yogies for me and then eating them in front of my ferrets? []
