I usually play with my 2 ferrets every or every other day. They have tons of toys, plenty of space, and everything. But they don't pay much attention to the toys, they don't really wrestle and they act bored! I have some really good tubes and cardboard castles and krackle sacks.... did I mention a huge 2 level cage with tons of beds and "ferret carpet" they either are scared of a game or get tired of a toy. They used to dook at playtime and get all excited, they don't anymore! if they are craving my attention why do they hiss when I hug them and run away when I tickle them? any advice on how to "snap them out of it" its depressing when they are bored with their playtime.

well i think since they have so many toys they are not interested in them anymore try taking some stuff away and give them only a couple choices and then switch the toys after a while don't give them access to all of them at once

I agree. Put most of the toys away. Leave a few out, and try like put down an old pair of jeans and cut the bottom part of the pockets outs. Fleece on the floor is another good try. Paper shred or small ping pong balls in a box for digging. We have two plastic tubs filled with those colored Easter Eggs for their diving pleasure. Plus downstairs is a turtle sand box that we fill with paper shred. Granted it makes a mess but talk about ferret fun. We also re-arrange the toy pattern to keep it new, and playtimes are always 2 hours long or longer depending on who falls asleep under the couch first.

Every now and then i take mine to our hallway where their not usually allowed and fill it w/ their favorite toys and tunnels. they're always looking forward to a game of chase in the hallway and up the stairs to my room where they used to live.
