Hi everyone,

Recently I have noticed a ball on the tip of one of my ferrets tail. He is one of my Waardenburg syndrome ferrets and is only about 16 weeks old. He is deaf along with his "brother" but that certainly doesn't slow them down! I am concerned about this on the tip of his tail. Of course we are going to make an appointment with our vet to have it checked out but from what I have read it sounds like a Chordoma. I am a bit worried since he is so young and Chordoma's usually occur in older ferrets. I just wondered if anyone one has experienced this with their ferrets, or if anyone has any advice.
Thanks so much for any responses.

It is possible of being Chrordoma. What I have been finding out is the law of averages is it affects older ferrets, however, there are always acceptions to every rule. Let us know what the vet says, and I hope the little one gets better

Well we took him to our vet on Friday and thankfully he does not think it is a Chrordoma (tumor). He says he just might have hurt it while playing with the others. Thanks for your response.
