Have you owned several types of small animal pets? If so, which one turned out to be the best pet for you? Why?

All i've had were fish and now my bunny. We put a lot of thought into it before buying a more high maintenance pet than our fish, and met a few different animals. We decided on a rabbit because she is cuddly and fun but not too much work, and she can amuse herself when we don't always have time to play with her. she does take up a lot of room, though, because of her playpen and large cage. we also weren't expecting her to shed so much, but still, i love her and i wouldnt trade her for the world!

Well I have had my share of pets. From cats, dogs, lizards, and frogs, to bunnies, hermit crabs, and birds. Not any other "critters" though. I had a pet mouse for a bit but we were only watching it for a while. Bunnies are the best critter i believe because of there personalities and they are easy and fun to care for.

Each animal has their own pro's and con's. Currently I have 2 rabbits, 11 rats, 20+ mice. The rats and mice are really only for breeding purposes but I do take them out and play with them every now and then. One rabbit is a black Holland Lop show rabbit and the other is a wild cottontail/Havana mix. They all make a large mess but the rats and rabbits definitely have more personality than the mice. I'm going to say that my holland lop is my favorite critter because she enjoys being groomed, has a lot of personality, and has little floppy ears that bounce when she hops.
