Have you owned several types of small animal pets? If so, which one turned out to be the best pet for you? Why?

I have owend multiple pets, but not a different variety.  I've owned cats, hamsters, and fish.  The animal that has proven to be the best for me is the chinchilla.  I love how interactive they are, how playful, amusing, etc.  The list could go on forever.  More importantly, they're there for you when you need it the most, or even when you have to rant about something.

I have had every kind of pet imaginable alomst! At one point in time I had...2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 bunnies, 2 guinea pigs, 5 mice, 3 rats, 5 anoles, 28 fish, 2 parakeets, 1 cockatiel, and 2 hampsters!

Ive never had a chinchilla before, though I have taken care of them while volunteering at pet centers and they are truly wonderful animals!

Out of the bunches of animals that I have listed I found rats to be very rewarding.  They are smart little animals that act just like dogs!  Most people think of rats as disgusting animals, but they are very intelligent and easily trained!  My rats are litter-trained, now how to come on cue, and Tinkerbell knows how to stand on command!  They also love playing fetch!

They are like my babies and I couldnt imagine life without a rat!

iv had 8 wolves/ wolf, northern working breed mixes, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 chinchilla's, 1 guneapig, 1 hamster, 5 birds, and 2 fish. so far, my chinchilla, Teddy has become the most behaved, cuddly, tolerant animal i have ever had. i had to work on our relationship a lot at first, but now he's an absolute angel, i can take him for walks, car trips, to school, i can do home work with him. Teddy turned out wonderful.

I lived in Alaska for several years and while I was there, we had a zoo! Below is the list of animals I had:

3 Cats
1 Dog
2 Iguana's
6 Chinchilla's

My uncle use to ranch chinchilla's but for bad reasons, thanfully he passed away and now I rescue chinchilla's. They grow on you fast.
