| I became interested in chinchillas when I saw one at the pet store, hopping around in its cage! I got a chance to pet one and it was so soft!! So I decided to save up for one. My parents weren't pet people, so I had to wait until I moved out until I could get a chinchin of my own. I talk to a lot of other chin owners online and they told me all the pros and cons of owning one. None of my relatives had one, but I knew a friend that was breeding some ... but he was kinda strange so I decided not to buy one from him. I bought Wolf at the pet store, and then a little bit later, his friend Meow! They are so much fun to have!

| I really wanted a guinea pig when I saw one in Petco. When I looked up guinea pig on Wikipedia, I was shocked to know in some areas in Peru actually ate guinea pigs! I wanted to give them a home with love, not one in the belly. I wanted to free guinea pigs from this cruelty, so I figured I should protect a guinea pig, one cavy at a time.

| I've always loved all animals, and when I read a book called Extreme Pets (btw, it has really bad info on reptiles) I found out that hedgehogs are kept as pets, and I was going to get one, and when I went to the pet shop my mom saw that the hedgehogs were $250 she said "Umm... you're not getting a hedgehog. Choose something else." So the next cutest things there were rabbits. I saw a realy cute mini rex rabbit and i wanted to buy him but i had to wait another week to get the rabbit and by then someone had bought it, so i went to a different pet shop and found Bun Bun in a tank with 2 Netherland dwarf rabbits. Bun Bun was the cutest (and the other rabbits both looked sick) but when I held her she growled and scratched my arm and my mom really didn't want a rabbit that gave people bloody arms but i was like "Awww, an attack rabbit! How cute! I want that one!" so I got Bun Bun. When my pet snake died in August, I still had the tank it lived in, so I got a pet mouse, Patches, who had a parasite so I returned him to the pet shop and got a hamster (Shadow).
