My guinea is 4 yrs old and very loving always nice we hold her alot no health problems and eating fine. Today I walked in and she went nuts..running back and forth hitting her face and body...even busting her lip (till bleeding) ...her nose is now swollen...I left her alone for 2 hrs to calm down but everytime i approach her cage she does the same thing. She did not eat the newly given hay or food...not even an apple slice...which she cant resist. I held her and shes nervous and goes right back into the freaking out once i put her back. What do I do? any ideas?

You may want to take a look around to see if anything new is in the environment. Here are some articles that you might find helpful. You may want to bring your guinea pig in to see an exotic veterinarian in case it is something health related.

It could be that he/she is not eatting, because they are not feeling good,or there not drinking.

You might also check to see if you can find any questions and answers similar to your problem on the Vet Expert page. I know there have been people who have asked about guinea pigs having a stroke. You may find that someone else with a similar problem in their guinea pig asked Dr. Rosenthal, and you can see what Dr. Rosenthal's advice was.
