| Where are you even finding un- fixed ferrets? A breeder?? Female ferrets get a type of anemia when they go into heat if they are not bred. And yes, they can die. Why are you breeding them?? Seriously, I do not mean to yell at you but there are a lot of ferrets out there that need good homes and adding more to the population is kind of cruel. Also, the fact that you didn't even know about aploptic anemia means you do not know a whole lot about ferrets!! Please think about this before you breed her. One other thing- I worked for two different ferret rescue groups in Michigan. One day we got a call from a women who decided to breed.... Well, within a few months, she was knee deep in ferrets and had no way to care for them financially or otherwise. Of course, the recues stepped in to help, but she was also reported to the county.... PLEASE, Please do not breed her!!! Jodi

| Like any animal if you can get them fixed its always a good idea for health reasons. It doesn't cost much. I have a female ferret and she is fixed with all her shots. She seems to be happy unless I take my keys away from her.

| It doesn't matter which one you get you should get either one fixed because males are aggressive and smell worse when not fixed and females will develop asplatic anemia if in heat for a long period of time. It's not all that pleasant to have an unfixed ferrets.
