| I think it depends on the dog. My chinchilla was visiting someone once with a golden retriever and he wasn't bothered at all by the dog. However he didn't like it when a cat jumped on his cage and stuck its paw at him so if the dog is really hyper/plays too rough then there might be a problem.

The dog barking and running around might bother the chinchilla.

| i have both, but my chinchillas have their own bedroom in my house and the dogs aren't allowed in there.. now i know they hear the dogs when they bark, but the dogs are not close to them when barking. i personally wouldn't put them in the same room, as it could be too stressful for them, but if you can keep them sep, you shouldn't have an issue.
need chinchilla information or supplies please go to my website

| It really depends on the dog. Be careful with small terriers who are bred to be ratters.
